2.5GbE speed throughout my home
- My home network has 2.5GbE speed throughout the house and garage using a variety of
QNAP switches.
10 GbE from my server to my desktop computers
- I currently have 2.5GbE, 5 GbE and 10 GbE speed from my Synology 923+
NAS (Network Attached Storage) to my current desktop computers. The speed
varies depending on the computer NIC and/or adapter.
Future Network Upgrade
- I will diagram my garage network in the future.
- If my Internet speed changes I will purchase a Protechli firewall device
as a router and use my current Netgear Router as a access point only. That
will give me 2.5 GbE speed from my modem (which has a 2.5 GbE output)
throughout my complete network.
